Description

This is the planetary assembly for select stand mixers. It's the lower drive that holds the beater shaft and transfers power from the gearcase to rotate the beater for efficient mixing.

• Transfers torque from the mixer's gear train to the beater shaft
• Supports smooth, consistent beater rotation
• Worn planetary can cause wobbling beater, grinding/rumbling noises, poor mixing, or intermittent beater motion
• Needed if the beater shaft has excessive play or the gear teeth are damaged

What's included: Planetary assembly as supplied by the manufacturer. Install notes:

• Unplug mixer before servicing; remove bowl and attachment
• Head must be opened to access and remove the retaining pin/fasteners
• Support the lower assembly when separating it from the gearcase to avoid damage
• Re-grease gears if specified by the service manual and proper beater-to-bowl clearance after reassembly
