Richard W Baltimore , MD April 12, 2015 Appliance: Whirlpool Refrigerator GR2FHMXPQ02 The handle on the refrigerator door was broken and needed to be replaced Took off the freezer door, took off the top hinge on the refrigerator door, replaced the handle, re-installed the top hinge and the freezer door. This is a two person job - one to remove the top hinge and replace the handle, while a second person holds the refrigerator door in place. Replacing the handle was easy. Using part #s from the drawing, you need parts #19, #7 to cover the hole not used for the hinge, and two parts #5 to cover the two screws which hold the handle in place. (Use the original thimble and screws.) Read More... 37 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers, Screwdrivers
