Terry H Salina , KS April 19, 2014 Blower not running blower pulley spun off the shaft Replaced the blower pulley. When the pulley spins off the blower shaft, it will damage the threads so it is important to replace the pulley and I would recommend using Loctite thread locker to keep the new pulley from spinning off. The threads on the blower shaft will most likely get damaged as well and I would recommend replacing the blower shaft. I did not order the blower shaft because it does not show up on a diagram and I had to go purchase a die to chase the threads before the new pulley could go on. I have since learned you can get a new blower shaft by purchasing the blower housing. Mariann M Michigan City , IN March 09, 2020 Appliance: Maytag Gas Dryer MGDB400VQ1 Our dryer started making a noise while it was running then discovered there was no heat We changed out the upper blower housing along with the blower wheel and pulley-blower. Decided to buy the two additional (blower wheel/pulley-blower) parts as it was indicated others also had purchased along with the blower housing. We watched the video which was similar to our dryer, but not exact. Putting the drum belt on with the idler pully was difficult because it was in the back and very hard to reach.
