Michael C Monroe , WI July 21, 2017 Appliance: Whirlpool Dishwasher, Portable WDP340PAFW0 Discharge hose kept getting clogged Suspected that the discharge/sump pump was not working at peak performance. Jennifer B Denham Springs , LA May 11, 2026 Dishwasher would not drain Dishwasher stopped draining at the end of a cycle, leaving water and detergent in the tub. We replaced the drain pump following instructions from the video on the website. The old pump had shard of glass wedged under the impeller. The most time consuming part of the repair involved disconnecting then reconnecting the water and drain lines, and removing/replacing dishwasher from counter. Actual pump replacement required no tools and took only a couple of minutes. This DIY repair saved me a diagnostic fee of $139, not to mention the actual cost for the part and labor. Read More...
