Raymond M Mundelein , IL February 09, 2016 Appliance: KitchenAid Electric Wall Oven KEBS208DBL8 Heat loss due to old worn door gasket door insulation damaged Replacing the Door Gasket is very easy and will take about 2-3 mins per door. Simply remove the Gasket Retainer (1 screw), and pull off the old Gasket. Install the new gasket by simply pushing the gasket clips into the holes where the old clips came out from. Be sure to start gasket at the first hole either side of the Gasket Retainer and work your way around. Reinstall Gasket retainer. The Door Insulation is a very involved repair, and best to follow specific repair manual instructions. Door removal from oven is required. To remove door you need to order the Door Hinge Pins. Estimate about 15 mins per door plus time to clean all 3 glass panels prior to reassembly. You may find the service manual for your appliance at http://www.allrepairmanuals.com. Lorraine C Hickory , NC February 25, 2019 Appliance: Whirlpool 24" Built-In Electric Single Oven Self-Clean RBS245PRB00 I wasn't sure the temp probe was reading accurately. I hadn't seen the broiler element glow orange for about 5 years and the door gasket was popping off. So, I decided that from the number of screws needed to remove the worn parts and the " plug and play" appearance of the new parts on you website, I decided I could do this! This also how I approach my plumbing projects.....this really scares my husband! Well, everything came in at once so a few days later I decided it was time to do the deed. I had pre-spritzed the existing screws the night before with a degreaser and scrubbed with a used toothbrush. The screws all loosened up with no problem. Note here: I saw a comment on your website stating that although the screws look like a Phillips head screw, they have more of a star head. I had several of those in my handy dandy tool kit?? It took me about an hour total to unscrew and remove the old parts and pop in the new ones from your company. Easy peasy!! Thank you so much for supplying parts for appliances over 15 years old. Your company is the best. Read More... 3 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Pliers, Screwdrivers

Stephanie P Fairfax , VA July 01, 2020 Appliance: Whirlpool 30" Built-In Electric Double Oven Convection-Upper Self-Clean (Gold Line) GBD307PDS10 Parts fit perfectly in my upper and lower Whirlpool double ovens. The rubber gasket for the lower oven had split and is no longer made so I was unsure how to fix the lower oven so it could be used. I didn't want to replace the double oven since it is otherwise still in good condition. I decided to order two braided gaskets made for the upper oven and try installing one in the lower oven. It worked perfectly! The removal of the old rubber gasket may require the use of some needle-nosed pliers if the metal clips separate from the gasket. The installation is very easy as the new gasket only requires you to insert the metal clips in the oven's pre-drilled holes. The video on how to do this is very easy to follow and demonstrates how easy this repair really is. I hope other readers with the same problem I had are aware of this option to replace the lower oven rubber gasket with the upper oven braided gasket. Read More... Sarah S Bethesda , MD January 27, 2024 Appliance: KitchenAid 30" Built-In Electric Oven Self Clean Thermal Convection KEBC107KSS03 The oven door gasket was worn and blackened in places Replacing the door gasket is a breeze! The video demonstration is very helpful and I recommend watching it, though I didn't need to remove my oven door to access the screw on the retaining plate. Once the plate is off (you only need a phillips head screwdriver), the job is the equivalent of cut and paste -- very easy and satisfying. The whole thing took less than five minutes. I bought a new retaining plate with the new gasket and now it all looks fresh and shiny. This is a perfect first time DIY repair project. Read More...
