Robert K Lafayette , IN January 28, 2018 Water draining on wash cycle but not draining on rinse cycle could smell motor on retry. Since it could be the pump or the motor or both. I replaced both the motor and the pump. I followed the video on replacing the pump and also replacing the motor. The pump had leaked and rusted the bottom clip. I ordered the motor, couplings, pump, and the clip. The first 3 I received on Wed. which came from Illinois and the clip on Thurs. which came from Texas?? Not sure why. I was able to replace the motor and pump and waited for the bottom clip. Finished on Thurs. Even though the motor and couplings were not the same as the old ones I carefully measured the distances and it did work. Was not as easy as the videos, but it did work. This was an old washer and your videos do not show all of the cleaning that takes time. The washer now works like new. Damon T Lemoore , CA August 24, 2018 Appliance: Whirlpool Home Washers Direct-Drive LSL9345EZ1 Leaking water pump Replaced water pump and rusted bottom retainer clip. Reinstalling the washer body is the hardest part of the repair. You will want the washer in position where you can get to both sides to make sure that the slot cut in the bottom line up with the rear notches. I had to persuade the front lip of the washer body so that it would slip under the frame and also line up in the rear. Other than that the video is spot on for repairing my model. Walter S Melrose Park , IL October 05, 2020 Appliance: Whirlpool Washer - Direct Drive LSB6400LW0 Blew up capacitor After changing the motor coupler last week, the machine was leaking some. Did not think much of it, seems I cracked the pump housing when putting it back on. I took the road of, at least its working again, cant complain about a little water on the floor. Ended up frying both the motor switch and the capacitor from spraying off the cabinet and onto the switch. Could have just been the 70.00 pump, instead, a 200.00 bill for the three parts. Challenging part is rewiring that motor switch one at a time so you put them in the right place.
