Description

This wire retaining ring secures the door boot (bellow) to the front tub on front-load washers. It keeps the gasket seated to maintain a watertight seal, helping prevent leaks when the washer fills, agitates, and spins.

• Secures the door boot/gasket to the outer tub opening
• Maintains a watertight seal during wash and spin cycles
• Helps prevent the boot from slipping off the tub lip
• Common symptoms: water leaking at the front, a loose or detached boot, or a broken/missing ring

Includes: 1 wire retaining ring Install notes:

• Unplug the washer and shut off water; wear gloves and eye protection—the ring is under spring tension
• Release the outer boot clamp and fold the boot inward to access the inner ring
• Seat the boot evenly on the tub rim, then expand and fit the ring into its groove; verify it's fully seated all the way around
• Reassemble and run a quick test cycle to check for leaks
