After shopping for a new Whirlpool Thin Twin Stack, Found appliance parts pros online and decided to take it apart to see if repair was a possibility. APPro's online instructions were easy to follow, in a couple hours it was apart, and I placed the order. Reg ground took a week from NY, so the laundry piled up that week. The parts arrived on Monday morrning, by afternoon the machine was running like new! The cause was the belt tensioner pulley had frozen. Replaced it, drum wheels,snap rings,drum belt. New cogs and seals for the Washing machine agitator were easy to replace and all worked great. $160 with shipping, saved us $1300 for a new machine. Also disabled annoying loud endcycle buzzer. Disassembled dryer, replaced worn parts and reassembled dryer. Removed top cover, disconnected front connector, removed front panel, removed belt from idler pulley, removed washer drum and belt, replaced push clip, retaining clips, 2 support rollers and idler pulley. Reassembled in reverse order.

After viewing the video on Appliance Parts Pros, I ordered a new replacement oven bake element. When I received the new element, I removed the oven door (I found that I could simply pull it up and off) removed the two screws holding the old element in place and used curved needle-nose pliers to remove the slip-on wires. I installed the new element, slipped the door back on and found that the oven not only worked, but the pre-heat time was half of what we experienced the last time the oven did work. The old element was indeed failing. Thank you for helping me fix my 27-year-old stove!

Disassembled the back of the dryer to clean the lint trap housing and the ductwork to the outside. Tested all of the heat-related fuses with a multimeter. Discovered the thermal fuse was bad. Replaced the thermal fuse along with the blower seal and the lint housing seal.

After discussions with the ladies at the help desk, it appeared my pump was not working and they suggested it could be the lid switch. I used the video for installing a pump and a lid switch, which was a huge help. My lid switch was missing as well as the mounting screws. Once the washer was apart, it was very easy to install the lid switch and test it for operation. The pump was not needed and I will be sending it back for credit.
