Jay R Clearwater , FL October 19, 2019 Appliance: Whirlpool Electric Range WFE320M0EW0 Left door hinge would not allow door to close square to opening Replaced the hinge receiver with a new one. The old one was bent slightly inside where it could not be seen. I think someone pushed the door down to far or fell on it. 2 screws to remove it, take out storage drawer and reach up little ways to remove and replace the receiver. Replace the 2 screws. The receiver comes with 2 screws but I ordered an extra ( never used it ). The sides of the receiver were spread just a tiny bit but were enough to cause a problem. Vincent C Boise , ID May 07, 2020 Broken door hinge spring. After a quick search I located the video that made the job seem fairly easy. I would evaluate my skills at handyman level. The most difficult part of the job was reinstalling the door after the new hinge was replaced. I had not seated the new hinge in the frame of the oven correctly a 1/16th of an inch more and the hinge dropped into the slot and the door worked like brand new. No more busted shins! Read More...
