Eddie H Sandia Park , NM February 29, 2016 Appliance: Maytag Top Loading Washer LAT8426AAE Collar on transmission agitator shaft became loose and allowed the attached agitator to float upward and fill the transmission with wash water Removed agitator, inner washer barrel, and agitator shaft then drained all the water and emulsified oil out of the transmission. Filled the transmission with new oil and then replaced the worn agitator shaft, shaft collar, shaft o-ring and stem sealing system.
