Users can set the temperature, change the cooking mode, check the time, and more via the display on this part. If it fails, the oven will be inoperable until it is replaced. While the electronic control board is designed to be durable and has some protection against heat and spills, it can still be damaged by hard impacts, significant spills and prolonged exposure to moisture, as well as normal wear and tear through use. Replacing the control board will require cutting the power to the oven, then removing the surround from over the old board.
