Shane T Sauk City , WI November 21, 2014 Appliance: Maytag Top Loading Washer SAV2555AWW Leaking water pump worn out belt I replaced the worn parts. Removed the electric motor/pump assembly then took it to my motorcycle repair shop to clean/maintenance the motor, remove the old pump because it was stuck on the motor shaft. Once removed I blew out dust/debris from the motor w/compressed air. Sanded and filed the corrosion off the shaft, applied a "sealing grease" of sorts to the shaft to make potential future removal easier and reassembled. I took the whole wamma jamma home, reinstalled and wah-la, fixed. I am blessed more than most to have access to hand tools and other equipment at my shop. I could've fixed it completely at home but, since I've the ability to take it further, I did.
