William L Taylors , SC September 14, 2015 Appliance: Model KUDE49FXSSI Sump seal leaked water into diverted motor and of course our floor this is my 2nd kitchenaid to have this problem DIY, changed motor and sump. Put a dab of valve lubricant on seal. Wet outer seal of sump to get it to seat in bottom of tub. Cleaned electrical connectors corroded by leak. Coated connectors with dielectric grease. Had to buy additional clamp. Two clamps came in the sump package but both fit the smaller hose only. Neither fit the large hose. I wish the correct clamps were included. Home improvement store clamp is a little too wide to fit between ridges in large hose. James S Smithville , MO May 26, 2020 Appliance: KitchenAid Undercounter Dishwasher KUDE20FXWH0 Diverter motor leaking. Replaced the Diverter Motor and Sump Assembly. Note: The Diverter Motor included an in-line fuse, but not any explanation/documentation if/why this was required. The Sump turbidity sensor hole was looser than the original sump, and the cover on the pump motor connection was also loose (had to hold the cover on with tape). No leaks yet. I was recommended to replace the sump with the diverter motor (due to the seal), but not sure if this was necessary or not. Read More...
