Description

This dishwasher sump and seal forms the watertight basin at the bottom of the tub and seats the wash and drain pumps. Replace a cracked sump or worn seal to stop leaks and restore reliable wash performance. What it does:

• Collects and channels wash water to the circulation and drain pumps
• Maintains a watertight seal between the tub and the sump opening
• Helps maintain proper wash pressure and flow
• Common failure signs: water leaking from the base, visible cracks or warping, recurring moisture beneath the unit, poor cleaning results

Install notes:

• Disconnect power and shut off the water supply before servicing; use towels to catch residual water
• Remove the toe panel and slide the dishwasher out for access to the sump area
• Detach hoses/wiring as needed; release locking tabs and lift out the old sump
• Seat the new seal evenly, transfer any reusable hardware/components from the original sump, and test for leaks after reassembly
