Description

This is a safety switch that detects whether the dryer drum belt is intact and properly tensioned. When the belt breaks, this switch cuts power to the drive motor to prevent the dryer from running without the drum spinning. Replace this switch if your dryer won't start even with a new belt installed, or if the switch no longer triggers properly when belt tension is lost.
