Whirlpool WP53-0148 Door Switch OEM Part

I first unplugged the dryer, lifted the top of the dryer, then removed two screws that hold the front panel to the side panels. I removed the cable clip that holds the wires for the switch to the front panel, and removed the wires from the switch. I then removed the switch from the clip that holds the switch in place. My original switch had only one connection at each end, but the replacement had two at one end and one at the other. The terminals at the one end were labeled NC and NO. I connected one lead to NO, and the other lead to the terminal at the other end. I then reinstalled the switch into the retaining clip, and reinstalled the screws that hold the front panel to the side panels. I put the wire retaining clip back in the top of the front panel, closed the top, and plugged the dryer in. The two wires I had were not color coded, so the first time I installed the switch I had the wires reversed compared with the switch (I knew this because when I opened the door the dryer did not stop). I followed all the steps above, and turned the switch around so that the wires would connect to the terminals on the other end from what I did first. Put it all back together, and it worked fine.

I got the model number. Looked online to the appliances proparts. I had ordered somthing from this store before. Best price. Wasn't that hard to fix. Open the top, (unplug the power) disconnect the leads and snap in place.
