Gary B Oceanside , NY October 04, 2014 Appliance: Whirlpool Compact Electric Dryer LEW0050PQ3 Dryer wouldn't power on Wasn't sure what the issue was did a simple seach and came across several stories on appliance parts web site. Matched up problem with several of the stories, dryer wouldn't power with the dor closed but would power up with the door open. Thanks to the previous stories I removed the top panel and front top panel. ( needed a t-20 tool bit which I had, suggest a magnetic head screwdriver to disconnect the front top panel didn't want to chance losing the bit ) and noticed the door switch was burnt. I found by Loosing the the front panel I was able to reach the door switch much easier. Hardest part was pulling out the dryer which was stacked, once I had it on the floor didn't take but 15 min. Placed the order on a Mon. afternoon regular shipping had the part on Wed. Morning. This is my second time using appliance parts pro previously replaced the heating element...Thanks guys made the job easy and saved me a pocket full of money. Jennifer F Joliet , IL July 06, 2015 Appliance: Whirlpool Compact Electric Dryer LEW0050PQ3 Ran when the door was open then completely stopped I knew that my Whirlpool dryer was acting up when I would open the door and the clothes would still be spinning. It continued this for about 6 weeks until it completely stopped. After doing some research online to determine what could be the problem, I found that others with my same dryer were having the same problem. I ordered this part which arrived the next day and I began my repair. I am mechanically inclined but hate to touch electrical work so I was hesitant. Thankfully, I had the right bit to remove the top cover's hood and from there, it was pretty easy. Unscrew the door latch, remove the plastic holders, put the new one on, reinstall it and viola - it worked! It's been a week and I've probably run the dryer 11 times since without any problem. I'm so glad this small repair worked instead of having to buy a new one after 8.5 years.
