Bad switch would not let burner or simmer work It was a smooth top glass kitchen aid Jen- air in counter, it's a two person job removing and reinstalling. You will need a magnetic Phillip screw driver ( it's a must have) to remove the two screws that hold the switch, and putting it back on without magnetic you will drop the screws inside of the stovetop and have to remove back panel to retrieve them don't want this to happen it's a lot of extra work.
