Description

Infinite switch that controls the top surface burner's heat range, restoring adjustable temperature settings and proper burner response. Replace a failed switch when a surface element won't heat or loses variable control. What it does:

• Regulates power to a surface element so you can select low-to-high heat; failure can cause no heat or only high heat.
• Provides stepped/infinite heat selection for smooth temperature changes; intermittent or erratic heating often indicates switch wear.
• Completes the circuit between the control knob and the burner element; an unresponsive or cycling burner can point to a bad switch.
• Physical symptoms may include a loose knob, inability to hold selected settings, or a surface element that won't turn on.
