The fix for this is easy, & quick. It required a phillips screwdriver.
UNPLUG the stove!
Remove the oven control panels top & bottom two screws.
Remove the control knob & the two retaining screws securing the faulty control from the panel. Swap each individual set of wires from the old one, to the new control terminals & remount it, the panel, & knob. (If the connectors won't easily come free, you can gently pry the connector off the old control terminals with a standard screwdriver if you need to.)
It took maybe 15-20 minutes, tops.
Not to mention, the control was on sale, about $15 cheaper than Sears, & I received it in just a day!!!
