Tim H Fort Collins , CO October 18, 2014 Direct drive motor coupling failed wouldn't agitate or spin Was set to pull the trigger on a new washer since this one was 10+ years old. Broke a $25 lid switch fumbling to get the washer open before I found the appliancepros video library. Once I got things apart the right way I was able to diagnose the problem in 5 minutes. Identified the $10 part needed. Got the $10 coupling and the $25 switch and had the washer working like new in 20 minutes. I'm pretty proud of myself.. not going to tell anyone about the $25 switch. Paul V Silverdale , WA January 02, 2016 Washeer would stop mid cycle & not spin First went to Youtube looking for 'how to fix a washer', then to the Appliance Parts website. Seeing that it was likely the lid switch, I checked the continuity of the switch as the video suggested, and found it was bad. Then jumped the terminals with a piece of wire while waiting for the part to arrive. Only hassle was getting the cabinet back on properly.
