D Austin , TX April 28, 2017 Washer would not start running thought door was open This switch fixed a very frustrating problem, 75% of the time the washer refused to run because it "thought" the door was open. Replacing the switch was a very easy, in expensive, 5-min fix. The washer runs like new. When taking off the gasket, there is a metal ring that holds the gasket in place. It is connected by a spring. Find the spring, put a flat head screwdriver between the spring and the gasket and pull the ring off. The gasket will then peel back, giving you access to the switch and wiring. Greg F Sarasota , FL July 30, 2016 Appliance: Model 826-02 Rv stackable washer door lock would not lock Discovered during trouble shooting the problem that the activation button was failing if it was pushed by hand and the door closed immediately and start button pressed the door lock would work nearly every time the sequence was tried. the repair youtube showed me how to effect the repair. called for assistance in selecting the correct part (also ordered the door lock along with the button switch). Replaced the switch (same as the youtube) and it now runs correctly. Did not replace the door lock but will keep it for future use. DYI easy, easy project. total time for repair was about 15 minutes, hardest part was making sure the door gasket was properly reinstalled. your sales staff were excellent in making sure I was ordering the correct parts!!
