Description

This temperature control thermostat regulates the fresh food compartment, cycling cooling on and off to maintain your setting. Replace it if the refrigerator section won't stay cold, overcools, runs constantly, or the dial no longer responds. What it does

• Monitors refrigerator (fresh food) compartment temperature via the sensing bulb/capillary
• Opens and closes electrical contacts to control the cooling system as needed
• Helps maintain consistent temperature at the selected setting
• Common symptoms of failure: warm fridge, food freezing in fresh food section, runs nonstop or short-cycles, unresponsive or no "click" at the dial

• Disconnect power before servicing; work with dry hands
• Note/photograph wire positions and transfer to matching terminals; reuse original mounting hardware
• Route the sensing capillary exactly as original; avoid sharp bends or kinks and secure the bulb in its clip
• After installation, set to mid setting and allow up to 24 hours for temperatures to stabilize
