Steve E Rochester Hills , MI January 03, 2019 Appliance: Model WTW6500WW1 AND WGD8200YW2 Noisy bearings coming from the washing machine excessive dry times with the dryer Washing machine should have been an easy fix that I had done before but ran into problems with the upper bearing and the bearing diameter on the shaft (a no go situation). By the time I was able to get the bearing seated I had damaged the new bearing. Much to my surprise Cierra in customer service sent me out a new bearing kit. I was then able to get the washer up and running with the new bearing kit and motor stator replacement. The dryer was a matter of replacing all of the electrical components inside of the cabinet along with the moisture sensors in the in the lint housing. The drum rollers and felt drum seals were changed as well. Now all dry times are within minutes of what is on the timer without any reruns. Repair Videos are a Great Repair Tool very well done. Hamilton P Westminster , CA September 08, 2018 Appliance: Whirlpool Gas Dryer WGD9200SQ0 No heat, no gas and no flame. At first the dryer wouldn’t dry the clothes, not enough heat. So I researched on google and found this AppliancePartsPros website where it suggested I replace the gas valve solenoids as the number 1 reason. So I ordered the parts and replaced according to the great AppliancePartsPros video. That solved the problem for about two weeks. Again, no heat, no gas, no flame three weeks later. I again researched on google what could be causing no heat, no flame, and no gas to come through. Then I found out that the thermal sensor (thermostat) failed through another homeowners video on YouTube. I ordered the parts through AppliancePartsPros and this time I replaced all of the sensors and fuses rather than wait for them to fail since I had the whole dryer taken apart (thanks to AppliancePartsPros for showing how to replace thermal fuses and tear apart and put back together a gas dryer, the same model I had!). Leigh A Burt Lake , MI May 29, 2017 Occasional failure to ignite. Your service department recommended a coil kit, I installed it and this seem to fix the problem but I did check the old coils and with an ohmmeter & they test okay according to what I've seen on videos but in practice the old coils were not functioning, so far so good with the new coil kit, a very inexpensive fix considering the price of a new gas dryer, thank you very much ? Paul K Goshen , NY October 07, 2018 Dryer had a short in it and wouldn't run. There were small metal chips (like metallic paint) inside it from drum rubbing on the slightly dented top. After taking entire dryer apart and vacuuming and wiping everything clean I discovered a short in the temp. sensor. I replaced both sensors to be on the safe side, cleaned everything and was ready to put back together. After fully assembling it , I turned it on and it has'nt worked this good since it was new. Ps. I pushed out the dent and now my wife is soooo happy! It works great. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 2+ hours Tools: Adjustable Wrench, Nut Drivers, Screwdrivers
