Description
This timer is the electromechanical control that sequences wash/dry cycles and timed functions. It replaces a failed cycle timer so the appliance can advance through settings and control timed operations reliably. What it does:
- Rotates through timed cycles and engages switch contacts to power motors, heaters, and valves in sequence
- Restores timed control when the original timer fails to advance or get stuck
- Common symptom: appliance does not advance through cycles or stays on a single cycle
- Common symptom: selector changes have no effect or certain functions do not receive power
