Description

This timer regulates the length and progression of the drying cycle. When it fails, the dryer may not start, advance through the cycle, or shut off as expected. Replacing the timer restores reliable cycle control and end-of-cycle shutoff.

• Advances the selected cycle by opening and closing internal contacts as the dial turns
• Routes power to key circuits (motor and heat) at the proper time during the cycle
• Common symptoms include: cycle won't advance or end, dryer runs too long/short, won't start, or dial doesn't move
• Helps ensure consistent, predictable drying performance and automatic shutoff

• Disconnect power before servicing; for gas dryers, also shut off the gas supply
