Tim C Hubert , NC April 21, 2020 Appliance: Model KDTE704DSSO Lower basket l & r track repair The lower basket L& R track bearing brackets on my KitchenAid dishwasher (KDTE704DSSO) finally gave out (ball bearings everywhere) after (6) years of daily, family use. The service techs provided me with all the information I needed to successfully and quickly complete my project. My parts were mailed to me very quickly and my dishwasher was up and running in short order. The parts were clean and in perfect working condition. (After pulling your dishwasher out, there are two sets of screws on both sides of the washer that correlate with the tracks inside. Simply unscrew the 4 screws and pop the tracks off, its as simple as it gets. The new tracks are complete with new bearing brackets and bearings, they run as smooth as silk, brand new. Simply pop them on (after cleaning the area inside with clean cloth) and replace the screws on both sides. If this is your first time puling this exact dishwasher out from beneath the counter, there is noise reducing fabric, (looks like white cotton) attached to the outside of the washer. DO NOT REMOVE this noise reducing fabric! This fabric is why this dishwasher is so quiet. Just remove enough of the fabric to install the screws, then push it back over and then tuck the fabric back in carefully while you're pushing the washer back under the counter.) Any questions you have about your parts can be answered quickly by the techs once you've joined them in the live chat. Any other problems we encountered were quickly and professionally resolved. One very helpful feature is that you can save your conversations and refer back to details you might not have handy later, (part #'s etc.). Everyone I've been in contact with at Appliancepartspros.com has been very professional and helpful and the online Chat service techs were outstanding in every respect. This was my first time using AppliancePartsPros.com and I will be returning here for any other appliance needs I may need, great service and parts! I highly recommend them! Bradley R Chillicothe , OH April 19, 2020 Appliance: KitchenAid Dishwasher KDTE404DSP0 Dishwasher rack rails broken and dropping bearings into tub. Easy project. 6-year-old appliance. If one is failing replace all 4. The plastic race that holds the bearings becomes brittle and breaks dropping the bearings into the dishwasher tub. Total project time from assembling tools, protecting the hardwood floor, removal, and installation was less than 2 hours. 1) Turn off power to the appliance. 2) Remove 2 mounting Phillips screws holding dishwasher in the cabinet. 2) use a 1/4” nut driver to remove the 2 screws holding the bottom plate from the front of the appliance. 3) Use a 3/4 open wrench to lower the front 2 leveling feet to allow the appliance to be slightly lifted and rolled out. 4) Before completely rolling the appliance the water input probably needs to be removed. It is located front left and is accessible from the front once the bottom plate is removed. Then fully remove the appliance from cabinet. 5) Pop the sound blanket fasteners out of the frame. They are located 1 each side at. side bottom. 6) Remove the racks from the appliance 7) Remove the rails (2) screws per rail top and bottom. Pay attention to the top/bottom orientation while removing. I use a 5/16” nut driver. 8) Install new rails. 9) Reverse above steps. Eugene G Redmond , WA March 04, 2019 Dishwasher tracks broke Replaced the tracks. You need to pull the dishwasher out for this since the screws holding them are on the outside. Not super complicated in my case since my dishwasher didn't require disconnecting water hose or power wires to pull out (there was enough slack behind).
