Rosemary D Monticello , NY March 22, 2015 Appliance: Maytag Undercounter Dishwasher MDBH949PAM1 My maytag dishwasher was leaking water from under the front panel i had already determined that it was not coming from underneath and i was pretty sure it was not the seal I removed the front panel (after being afraid to do it, I thought I'd give it a try). When it leaked, I could feel that the insulation behind the panel was wet. After taking the panel off I ran the dishwasher and immediately saw that the water was coming out underneath the vent. So I ordered the parts, and here's where it gets embarrassing ...... after the vent assembly arrived I figured I was going to have to remove the control panel. Being a do it yourself person, I know when something may be beyond my comfort level (that's where all the circuits are connected and I was afraid I might do more harm than good) so I called my favorite appliance repair person, he came and installed the part for me. At least by being able to determine where the leak was coming from, and getting the right part I saved one extra service call !! I am going to answer the questions based only on my removing the panel and determining what the problem was :-) It's an absolute pleasure to have a place to go to find parts, it is great dealing with your company and I'll be back soon (next couple projects I should be able to do myself) Read More... 2 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
