Chengpo C Niskayuna , NY July 04, 2014 Appliance: Whirlpool Washer WFW94HEXW1 Washer leaking during clean cycle Open the top and observed water squrting out from the vent hose connection to the top of tub. Tried to insert a home made gasket but still leaking. Ordered replacement hose assembly from AppliancePartsPros.com on Sunday. Got the part Tuesday. 15 minutes later the hose is replaced. Run the clean washer cycle and no more water on the floor. Washer is a front load model with steam function; about 3 years old from 2011. I think this vent hose is present on models with fanfresh function; having a hose for air into the tub and a second hose for venting. The issue is that the venting hose connection on the tub is a pressure fit between two plastic pieces and the pressure comes from a foam gasket that aged and became soft. Jim L Ocoee , FL March 31, 2017 Error code indicated i had a dispenser motor issue and i also had a piece of the vent hose assembly i had attempted to fix unsuccessfully After watching a brief video on the motor replacement (and receiving the parts) I simply followed the instructions and swapped motors. The vent hose simply has two hose clamps and was easy to replace. Both parts fit perfectly and I'm wearing clean clothes again. Read More...
