Yard-Man Chipper Shredder Ignition System

The ignition coil is a standard part of internal combustion engines on lawn and garden equipment. This coil consists of the ignition plug, plastic housing, and metal wires that include a flexible plastic casing. The coil is responsible for connecting the spark plug and transmitting the current that creates the spark that allows the engine to fire. This coil may develop wiring problems or the rubber and plastic parts may become worn and damaged over time. This will require a full replacement of the assembly. It is a good idea to inspect the coil when changing the spark plug as a part of routine maintenance, as well. This genuine OEM ignition coil is compatible with lawn and garden equipment from Troy-Bilt, MTD, Yard Machines, Yard Man, HUSKEE, and Cub Cadet. It can be used on more than 150 lawn and garden machines, including lawn mowers, log splitters, and chipper/shredder models. This coil assembly includes the ignition plug, metal wires encased in plastic, and a plastic housing. The hardware required to install this part is sold separately, as are all other components. Be sure to wear gloves and allow the engine to cool before working on the ignition or other components.
