If the ignition coil is damaged or broken, the tool will not start since the spark plug will have no power.If the ignition coil assembly may not be working, there is a test that can be performed. Take the spark plug wire off and then remove the spark plug itself. Next, remove the recoil starter and search for the kill switch. It will need to be disconnected before the part is replaced. Create the spark plug gap and add the boot to the top. Yank on the pull rope and watch the plug.
