This lock washer is used frequently for a number of applications on power yard equipment. The size, 5/16, is the default for many small engine housing and manifold applications. Lock washers are used with machined bolts to fasten engine blocks to the housing of the equipment being used. The compressed washer is able to handle the constant vibration of the small gasoline engine without losing the seal between the screw or bolt and the housing. Typically these lock washers only need to be replaced when they are misplaced during repairs or when the screws that attach them have to be chiseled or cut away, meaning the washers are destroyed as well. These OEM certified replacement washers have been manufactured to the same specifications as the originals they are replacing. In addition to lawn mowers, lock washers of this type and size are frequently used on blowers, lawn tractors, cultivators, snowblowers, and trimmers. Brands compatible with this type of washer are Murray, Husky, Poulan, Bolens, Yard-Man, Cub Cadet, Troy-Bilt, Yard Machines, MTD, and Ryobi.

This axle oil seal is an authentic OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer for use on lawn tractors. The oil axle seal keeps transmission fluid from leaking and causing damage to the engine. If there are puddles of oil beneath the lawn tractor, the axle's oil seal should be inspected and replaced if necessary. During routine maintenance, the oil seal should be visually inspected, and it should be removed and replaced when there are signs of wear and tear. To replace the axle oil seal, first, remove the spark plug from the machine for safety. Park the lawn tractor on a flat surface to prevent accidental rolling. Wear work gloves and safety goggles. Remove the half shaft from the tractor and pry the old axle oil seal off the machine. Insert a new oil seal. Check the fluids in the lawn tractor and fill as needed, then reassemble the tractor. After putting the spark plug back in, run the engine and look for leaks. This axle oil seal is a black rubber part that is sold individually. It is designed for use on lawn tractors manufactured by Cub Cadet, Yard-Man, MTD, and Troy-Bilt.
