By: Lg
Part Number: 6930W1A003X

The Magnetron Thermostat is an OEM part for LG microwaves and built-in ranges. Its primary function is to monitor the temperature and ensure that it remains within a safe operating range. If the temperature exceeds the preset limit, the thermostat will interrupt the power supply to the magnetron, preventing overheating and potential damage.

Symptoms of a bad magnetron thermostat may include:

  • Microwave not heating food evenly or at all
  • Inconsistent or weak heating performance
  • Microwave shutting off or displaying error codes related to temperature issues

This OEM LG part can also be used on Kenmore/Sears appliances.

This part fixes the following symptoms
  • Won't start

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You High temperature thermostat went bad after running self clean function   John V. • Longmont , CO • September 09, 2014

Did some Google searches and most comments concerning this issue on LG stoves indicated the high temperature thermostat malfunctions when using the self cleaning function. This malfunction causes complete loss of power for the entire stove and locks the oven door. Since I wasn't completely sure if it was the thermostat or where it was for that matter, I called a service tech to troubleshoot the stove. He was able to determine it was the thermostat and further tested his findings by... Read more

Fuse
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WB27X10928

The Fuse is an OEM part for GE microwaves. It serves as a safety device designed to protect the microwave from excessive current that can cause overheating and potential fire hazards. When the current flowing through the microwave circuit exceeds a certain level, the fuse blows or breaks, cutting off the power to prevent damage or fire.

Common causes for a fuse to blow include power surges, faulty wiring within the appliance, or the use of microwave inappropriate containers that cause sparks. It is essential to address these issues not only to replace the fuse but also to correct the underlying problems to prevent future failures.

Symptoms of a bad fuse include:

  • The microwave suddenly stops working.
  • No signs of power or response even when the microwave door is closed and the start button is pressed.

This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The GE Advantium Oven completely shut down. No lights, no sign of life at all.   Denny E. • Waynesboro , VA • March 14, 2014

I read on line about other such ovens doing the same thing mine was doing, absolutely nothing! I even read stories of a major retailer telling customers to throw the microwave away. There's nothing you can do to fix it. After replacing a simple fuse that I ordered from you, the Advantium is as good as new. It took a grand total of 5 minutes to make the repair. The shipping cost more than the part, but it was all very worthwhile. Read more

First, don't self clean your oven before the holidays. In fact, read up on what damage the self cleaning feature can do to your oven. How did I fix it, I went on line and saw the comments of appliancepartspros.com. I figured out that it was the thermal fuse that probably went wrong since my oven just went lights out after the cleaning. My oven is a Kitchenaid model # KEBS179BSSOO. Microwave Fuse

Microwave won't start or is completely dead? This fuse protects against electrical overload. Requires disassembly to access. Often replace with switches.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The frigidaire microwave would blow fuses on a regular basis   Loren A. • Windsor , WI • November 28, 2020

After doing some research the problem appeared to be the door safety switches. I ordered 3 new ones to replace all the original ones. Some minor disassembly of the microwave front was required to reach the fuse and switches. To reach the switches the control panel wires needed to be unplugged and the panel removed. After doing that replacing the switches was pretty strait forward. As of this comment the microwave has worked for 5 days without blowing the fuse so far. This has probably fixed the... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You GE profile in wall oven gave F 9 code and would shut off after 30 minutes   Matthew M. • Fairfield , CA • July 23, 2018

The F9 error code is supposed to indicate that the door lock mechanism has failed. My oven would give the F9 code and turn off during normal baking at 400 F after about 30-40 minutes. It turns out that GE must have programmed the error codes incorrectly in my model, because the real problem was that my control board cooling fan was no longer functional, and one of the two thermal switches was shutting off the unit when the control board area got too hot. Wall Oven Thermal Fuse
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WPW10545291

This thermal fuse is a safety device designed to cut power to the oven if internal temperatures exceed a safe limit, preventing overheating and potential fire hazards. It is a one-time-use component that cannot be reset once it has tripped. Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Open thermal fuse on whirlpool wall double oven   Lon F. • Jacksonville , FL • May 23, 2015

Replaced fuse. It took much longer to get the oven out of the wall to access the fuse and replace the front panel than to do the repair. This fuse failed at the end of the cleaning cycle for the bottom oven and left the door locked because the open fuse removed the 120v power from the control board. The locked door made it impossible to remove one of the screws holding the wall oven in place. However, after I ground off the head of the screw behind the edge of the locked door I was able to... Line Fuse
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP4375321

This line fuse protects the appliance's incoming power circuit by opening if an overload or short occurs. Replacing a blown fuse can help restore power once the underlying issue is corrected, preventing further damage to sensitive components.

  • Interrupts line voltage when excessive current or a short circuit is detected
  • Typical symptoms: unit completely dead, no display or interior lights, won't start or run
  • Fuse tests open/no continuity with a multimeter when blown
  • A blown fuse often points to another fault that must be addressed
What's included: One line fuse Install notes:
  • Disconnect power at the breaker/unplug before servicing; microwaves contain high-voltage parts that can retain a dangerous charge even when unplugged
  • Replace only with the same type and rating as the original fuse
  • Ensure the fuse seats firmly in its holders; do not bypass or jumper a fuse
