Answer Hello Steve. The defrost thermostat 2192096 is located behind the freezer wall in the back on top of the evaporator. You will need to remove the back panel inside the freezer to access the thermostat. Then, you will see it cliped on the top of the evaporator. Hope this helps.

Answer Hello Tom. If the Bi-metal is bad, you will need to replace the harness 2192096. Hope this helps.
