This spline insert is the small splined bushing that fits onto a drive shaft to transfer rotational force between the motor/shaft and the driven part. It restores a secure, slip-free connection for proper appliance operation. What it does:

• Provides a keyed, splined interface between the drive shaft and the driven component to transfer torque
• Prevents slip or loss of drive that can cause the drum/agitator to stop turning
• Worn or damaged splines can cause grinding, slipping, or intermittent movement
• Restoring the insert can eliminate looseness and reduce related noise

• Disconnect power before servicing; follow all safety precautions
• Access and removal often require removing the relevant panel or assembly (drum/agitator area)
