Tonyc for Model Number SHP65T55UC/01

I have a Bosch dishwasher SHP65T55UC/01 that was given to me. When I hooked it up and hit start, water began to flow rapidly into the side inlet tank and then overflowed into the bottom basin, triggering an E15 error. I tried turning the water pressure down from the water line to see if slowing down the flow of water would help it not overflow. It stopped overflowing, but instead all the water flowed into the dishwasher, but the circulation pump never kicked on. The water kept flowing until it filled the inside bottom of the dishwasher and began to leak around the door. So I shut off the water supply. Any idea what could be the cause of the problem?

Answer

Tony, any idea how long the dishwasher was in storage or unused? "E:15 Float switch activated and dishwasher runs continually / can’t be turned off." You will want to check the drain hose and drain pump for operation and drain. check to make sure the float switch 00622036 and float aren't "stuck" in the down position, make sure any water left in the base of the dishwasher is removed and dried completely. Check or consider replacing the fill valve 10023852, it could be "sticky" and remaining open, too long and allowing the tub to overfill.lastly, check the wiring between the float switch and the control board to make sure there are no loose, corroded connections or broken damaged wires.
