Dave for Model Number HEI8054U/03 It’s Dave again. Bought and successfully installed the display control module as you advised, and display now works properly. However, when the oven door opens, the steam is still causing it to short out and malfunction. It causes (both the old and the new display control module) to switch itself to Convection mode as if that button had been pressed, and then after a few moments it beeps and shows the “call this number” message. After a few moments more when the steam is evaporated it functions as normal again. What could be causing steam from the oven to be shorting the display control panel consistently after about 4-5 years of problem-free use?
