Gary D for Model Number pcs484ggus I bought an ignition head from you (Bosch 189324) to replace a bad ignitor on one of our star burners. The old ignitor is corroded inplace but I know I can get it out by breaking it. What I did notice is that the body of the new ignitor is larger than the old one. I used a micrometer to check it. The old ignitor is about .237" and the new one is .297". I called Appliance Parts Pros and talked to a rep, she assured me that the one I bought (189324)is shown to be the correct ignitor for my cooktop. My question is how do I fit it? Do I have to open the hole up burner base? Do I have to buy a new burner base? If I buy a new burner base will it fit on the existing spill tray? Help
Answer Hello Gary. Yes, based on the model number you provided, 00189324 is the manufacture replacement ignitor. You will need to remove the old ignitor and see if the ignitor fits into the hole.
