Hi Tony. Use a volt/ohm meter part #@ MA-DM1 to assist you in your diagnostics. Make sure the elecrical outlet has the correct polarity. Make sure the narrowere terminal of the outlet is the positive 120 vac to ground and also the neutral. Make sure the wider terminal to the ground has 0-volts. If these terminals are reversed (polarity) this will do what you describe. Get a qualkified electrician to correct this if necessary. If you have a shorted burner valve switch part # 00411415 it will keep the ignition spark module energized. Ohm out the burner switch and see if one of them or the swith wires are shorted when they are supposed to be open. If you have a bad spark module part 00753257 it will keep energized also. I would diagnose this systematically like mentioned as to try to save money. Thank You.
