Broke1 for Model Number 790.95302102 I got this stove at a yardsale. Stove looks good. I hooked it up. One of the big burners does not work,Front right. And the display does not work. So I can not get the oven to work. I took the back off and all the wires looked ok. Its a Kenmore stove but the parts comming up on this site are for Frigidaire. After reading several questions and answers I think its the contronl panel. But how do you know for sure ? At $160 bucks I want to know for sure. Is there a way to reset the unit ? Or replace a fuse or something? That one big burner thats not working could it be because of the display does not work ? Who has the best prices on parts?
Answer Broke1, There is no "reset" button or fuse to reset or replace. You can check for 120 VAC across the black and white wires going into the clock connector. If you have the voltage, you'll need a new ERC/Clock 316207522 . As for the burner not operating, and as long as you're in the control panel area for the clock. Check the burner infinite switch 316436000 foa closed circuits between the L1 and H1 terminals and the L2 and H2 terminals on the switch, with the switch knob turned on.No closed circuit would indicate a faulty switch. Here's some meter usage information if you need it [http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html] Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
