Raffy for Model Number frigidaire FGGF3054MF After a power surge the clock did not light up anymore. Appears the controller has no power. Is there a fuse to the controller? Burner igniters work fine and have electricity so there is electricity to the gas range, just a dead controller. Do I need a surge preventer to the range? No indication of needing a surge preventer in the manual or anywhere at all. Perhaps there is a blown fuse?
Answer Hello Raffy. You can use an appliance surge protector TJ041000 on the unit. You will need to replace the control board if there is power to it, and it does not light up. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
