Mr T., I have a frigidaire side by side fridge. I pluged in after being in storage for 4 years it sounds like it is coming on but it does not get cold. Any ideas?
Answer Hello Mr. T., Check the compressor. If it doesn't come on, it will never cool. If it's running, check the condenser fan. it's right there in the machine compartment with the compressor. If it's running, check the freezer fan. If it's running, it's time to pull the back wall from the unit to check the frost pattern. If it only has a ball of ice forming where the freon lines come into the unit, the sealed system has lost freon. If there is a complete frost pattern, you should check for a damper issue.
