Jeff August 19, 2019 for Model Number FFHS2311LBKA Compressor will run 5 to 7 second then click off. After about 30 to 60 sec will repeat this process. Evap fan is running. Freezer and fridge are just cool. Is it true if the starting device has a rattle when takin off and shaken that it might be bad?
1 Answer Jeff, the starting device can rattle if it uses a ceramic disc between the start and run relay. The relays can vary so this is not an accurate way to diagnose the relay unless it is verified to be this type. Commonly, the symptoms that are occurring within your unit are a result of the relay 241941005 not switching from the start windings to the run windings. Read More...
Mark March 11, 2018 for Model Number PLHS269ZCB3 Hello, My side by side starts and stops continuously. The top shelves in the refrigerator are warm while the lower shelves about freeze. Only small puffs of cold air come out of top vents as the appliance starts and stops. Thanks
1 Answer Mark, For this issue the most likely cause will be a faulty damper control 241600902. Read More...
Jeff February 18, 2018 for Model Number FRS26H5ASB9 Frigidaire side by side, fan and compressor(louder than normal) run continuously with no cooling at all. I replaced the defrost thermost thinking it was faulty and stuck in the defrost mode. No luck, still runs with no cooling. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks
1 Answer Jeff, For this issue you will want to check to see if the compressor is running. If the compressor is not running then the start relay may be bad. If the compressor is running then check the evaporator coils to see if they are frozen over or if there is very little frost pattern . If there is very little then this would be a sealed system issue and will need service. Read More...
Fred September 25, 2017 for Model Number LFFH2067DW2 Freezer does not cool, fan runs, compressor starts momentary (5sec) then stops and restarts in 30sec (approx.) and repeats this? Thanks

Jim December 05, 2016 for Model Number Frigidaire LFFH2067DW2 Hello, Compressor or fan neither one kicks on. Replaced the run capacitor, should I replace the start device or is there something else I should be checking? Light come on and alarm buzzes, what do I do now? Thanks, Jim
1 Answer Hello Jim. You need to test for power to the compressor and fan motor. If not, then check the temp control and defrost timer to see if either is bad and is causing the issue with the unit. Read More...
Blake April 14, 2016 for Model Number PLHS269ZDB1 Hello: not having much luck with our Frigidaire Pro Series side by side. The compressor and fan will start and freeze but when it gets to minus 20 or so the compressor turns off and will not restart unless we unplug the unit, reset the freezer thermostat to off, cycle back on and reset the thermostat. The compressor and fan will restart and run until minus 20 or so, shut off and start the whole reset process again. We had a local appliance guy in who changed out the damper door. This stopped the lettuce from getting frozen but it did nothing to get this unit back to being reliable. The other day I ordered and installed a new ADC control box and wiring harness. It still refuses to restart on its own. I've put an ohmn meter on the start capacitor and it seems ok. What can we do to fix this beautiful but completely useless appliance? Thank you
1 Answer Blake, The most likely cause for the unit to get to -20 in the freezer and then not turn back on would be a faulty temperature control for the freezer side which would be part number 5304496561. Read More...
Al October 13, 2015 for Model Number PLHS69EESS2 System not cooling, compressor switching on and off within a few sec and sounding like it wants to work. Found some bright green liquid (like Antifreeze) dripping off of the foam from the back plate. Fan is working. Any ideas? Thanks, Al
1 Answer Hello AL. It sounds like you have sealed system failure and will need an HVAC tech to repair the unit. Read More...
Darren June 30, 2015 for Model Number plhs67eesb4 2006 fridge. Freezer and fridge cool and then warm up.. It seems like it cycles. When auto defrost comes on it cools down to zero then warms up again after evap coil frosts up. I replaced control board only to find out it throws a 4 code on fridge side of control board. Are the new boards compatible with the old dampeners? The old board did not throw an error code. Also it didn't change a thing. Still cycling. Also only top half of evap coils frosts on the outer half?
1 Answer Hello Darren. It should be compatible. However, you will need to check the damper and see if it is bad on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Frank February 18, 2015 I have ordered the controller part for my refrigerator. My model number was FRS26LH5DS0 and the part number that they gave me was 297237702. The connection that goes right above the capacitor will not fit, is there something I can do so it will work, or is there a part number for that two wire connection.
1 Answer Frank, We have checked and verified that you have ordered the correct part for the model number you supplied. The start device should be 297237702 and the capacitor 297286803, these are "substitute" part numbers from the manufacturer. They may be slightly different than the original parts. In most cases, the size of the terminals have been changed from 1/4 inch terminals to 1/8 inch terminals. You may have to go by the local hardware store, auto supply or home improvement center or "Radio Shack" and pick up some replacement terminals. Read More...
Lynette H. October 13, 2014 for Model Number FRS26LF8CSN The fridge and freezer will run cold, then like get stuck in defrost mode, the ice in the bin will start to melt, then it will get cold again. Sometimes it won't get cold again for a couple of hours. I have replaced the run capacator and still didn't fix the problem. Does it sound like I need to change the Controller Tsd? Or maybe the defrost thermostat? It's like the compressor just won't kick on. But when it does kick on, it works, the freezer will go down to zero
1 Answer Hello Lynette, This sounds like the adaptive defrost control 5303918476 has an issue. Read More...
