Mitchell M Jackson , GA May 12, 2017 Appliance: Model LG LFX25971ST Refrigerator quit cooling First I have an LG French Door with a bottom freezer. It quit cooling. I went on line and watched some very informative You Tube videos. I trouble shot according to these videos. In these videos it shows that if there is a click coming off the compressor it has too meanings, the compressor is froze or the start relay is bad. I ohmed the compressor and had no open wires in the compressor. I then shook the relay and it was making noise. The videos stated that is there is a noise in the relay it is bad. I found appliancepartspros.com online and found the parts I needed. They sent them to me in 1.7 days. Great service. I received the right, but wrong parts. Right because they matched the on line parts diagram but wrong because they were not for the compressor that was installed. My LG had a Embraco compressor. Doing a little research on line I found what I needed on E Bay. I took those part numbers to AppliancePartsPros.com and they had the parts. They refunded me for the wrong parts and sent me the right parts. Again I received the new parts in 1.7 days. I plugged in the new start relay (Controller Tsd) and run capacitor on the compressor. I plugged in the refrigerator and held my breath. The fridge clicked on then the compressor started up. If this would have not worked, I was looking at replacing my compressor. All told, I spent less then $70 to fix my fridge. This was made possible by AppliancePartsPros.com. Thanks guys. One happy camper here! BIG TIP: See what compressor you have in the fridge. LG in the same model put different compressors in this fridge. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH THIS OUTFIT. GREAT TURNAROUND ON PARTS ORDERING. KEEP IT UP. Stephen D Yoder , CO August 08, 2018 Appliance: Kenmore Refrigerator 25354662402 Little cooling Compressor would start and run for only about 10 sec so refrigerator and freezer never got cold. Determined that the most likely problem was the compressor start device. Ordered the start device and run capacitor which was received in only 2 days. Replaced the parts in about 30 min and the fridge was up an running again. The only difficulty was getting the power wires out of the old start device. They have crimp on spade connectors and were very tight. Had to use a small flat-blade screw driver to pry them loose. After that, putting things back together went smoothly. Janet C Monticello , FL July 18, 2020 Appliance: Electrolux Freezer LFFH20F3QWD The compressor was not working and the fan was not working. I tested the fan outside of the freezer with an adapted direct plug-in cord and it ran fine. I tested the controller tsd it was within the good range along with the run capacitor and it tested good as well. I then tested the compressor resistance, it tested good, although the compressor could have been mechanically bad, it wasn't and I don't know of a way to test for it. I found a youtube video and tested the defrost control which seemed to be bad. Then I tested the control-temperature control and it seemed to be bad too. Turing the defrost timer and it did nothing. My wife then wanted to get a new freezer. We shopped around and there were no freezers anywhere due to coved 19. So I ordered all of the parts above except for the compressor and for just over $200 the freezer now works just like new. We are extremely happy with the results. For this repair, you will need to know something about a test meter and guess what YouTube has some tutorials for the basics, good luck! I hope this helps.
