Answer DIY, To replace the touchpad ribbon, you would disconnect the power from the unit. Once disconnected you will remove the screws holding the inner liner in place. Lift the inner liner and disconnect the ribbon harness from the control board. It may be necessary to remove the control board in order to get the harness in and out.
