On a top freezer with minimal opening of the freezer and the temp being at 0 degrees, there will be approximately 8 cubes (on a standard 8 cube icemaker) made every 1 1/2 to 2 hours. On side by side refrigerator and bottom freezer would be about the same. There are some units that based on the design can reduce the time of making ice down to 1 hour. If your icemaker is still not making ice then check the fill tube to make sure that it is not frozen where it comes into the freezer compartment to the icemaker.
