Will July 06, 2018 Hello my ice maker isn’t making ice either. The water dispenser works. The ice machine I turned manually with a screwdriver and it didn’t start on it’s on. Ice isn’t frozen in the rear of the inlet. How do i know if it’s the valve or the ice maker assembly. The green hose in the back isn’t wet at all. Completely dry. Is this the valve not getting water to it ? Do both need to replace ? Thanks -Will
1 Answer Will, it sounds as if your icemaker is defective. Manually turning the icemaker about half a cycle should activate the fill cycle. If the icemaker will not cycle, you will need a new icemaker. If the icemaker does cycle but does not fill, you may need a new inlet valve. Tony February 05, 2017 for Model Number FRS26LH5DS3 When I plug in the ice maker, it trips the GFCI. I have to unplug the ice maker for the frig to work. Also, when i disconnect the ice maker, the freezer and frig lights also stop working. Has anyone had this problem as well?

Steve K. July 24, 2016 for Model Number FRS23R4CQ3 It looks like our ice maker is working but at some points either water drips on the ice cubes or the cubes thaw because the cubes clump together. Thinking about replacing the ice maker, but wonder if unit is starting to fail since cubes are clumping. Do you have a guess what could be causing the ice cubes to clump?

David June 10, 2015 for Model Number FRS23F4CQ5 i just install an ice maker part # 5304458371 i put a litter water in the unit it cycle and ice cubes drop into the bin within an hour, waited another hour no ice cubes, the unit has an water button that you can use to fill a water glass that is working fine . any suggestions
1 Answer Make sure the freezer is between 0° and 5°. You need to check and see if there is power going to the water valve when the icemaker cycles. If so, replace the water valve on the unit. Also, check and make sure the fill tube on the unit is not frozen and clogged. If so, replace the water valve and thaw out the fill tube. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
