Joe T for Model Number kenmore elite double wall oven #79047909602 Bottom oven was on, opened door to check food. Closed door and a second later heard a pop. Oven went totally dead. Breaker ok, there is power to oven. Sent the oven control board and the face touch pad board to Circuit Board Medics, they said they both tested ok, although they did not have an oven to test it on. Put boards back in still totally dead. HELP Oven is 8 years old.
Answer Joe, You will want to access the Relay control board 316460901 and test from L1 to N and from L2 to N for 120 vac at each point. If there is 120 vac at each point then the issue will be a relay board that has failed. There is not a fuse that would be in line so the issue would most likely be this board. Read More...
