James, This issue will need to be checked with a multimeter to determine if the 240vac is reaching the element. With the new element, this could be a burned wire or a control board issue. 316557116 & 316419134

Me, if all the other burners will click except this particular one, it is probably the spark module. Anytime one valve is turned on, they all should be sending out high voltage to all the igniters, it one is truly not sparking, that particular port on the spark module is defective and the module will need to be replaced. The part number is 808608802

A. Warren, You will want to check the power cord to see if there is a loose connection at the terminal block or at the power supply. If this checks ok then the issue would be a faulty control board.

Kenmore ( made by Electrolux ) 30" gas range & oven. Oven door light switch is "completely" missing. Just the hole is there. Been trying out how to get to the inside to find the wires and buy / install a new switch but can't figure it out. Access from the front oven opening looks prohibitive... tried lifting the cook top by releasing the 2x spring clips but I can only lift it about an inch. not sure what's restricting it but it appears to be something with the gas supply to the burners. Any help would be appreciated

Hello Steve, If the oven door is allowed to close hard enough or repeatedly it can knock the door switch 316445501 through the mounting hole into the stove's interior. If you want to access thru the top then turn off power and gas to the stove, remove the cooktop burners as the gas tubes feeding them are connected underneath , once removed you can lift the top off. Look on the left side inside the stove to find the switch and wires. Alternately you can remove the left side panel however the stove would need to be tipped to right and supported as the panel at the bottom has the leveling legs for that side.

Flower, as the switches are not turning off the cooktop burners when placed in the off position, this would certainly indicate a switch failure. With the power cord disconnected from the outlet, each dual element switch 318191023 can be tested from the P2 terminal to the 4 terminal, and from the P1 terminal to the 2 terminal for continuity with the wires disconnected one test at a time. The single element switches 903136-9010 would be tested from L1 terminal to H1 terminal, then from the L2 to H2 terminals.

Ed, You will want to access the back of the light socket and test to see if there is 120 vac getting to the light socket. If it is then try to tighten the bulb a little more and if this does not work then replace the socket. If there is no power then the control board would be the issue.

Joe, You will want to access the Relay control board 316460901 and test from L1 to N and from L2 to N for 120 vac at each point. If there is 120 vac at each point then the issue will be a relay board that has failed. There is not a fuse that would be in line so the issue would most likely be this board.
