Jose for Model Number FRS26LF8CW1 The ice make only produces crush ice, no cubes. I took apart the front panel and looked inside, I see a circuit board which I believe is Dispenser Control board, and I see a switch. Not sure what the part failure is the problem. I would appreciate the help on isolating this.
Answer Jose, You will want to check the crushed cube solenoid to make sure that it is not stuck in the up position and that it is not broken. To access the solenoid, pull the ice bin out and there is a square opening on the auger motor housing. If the solenoid is in the up position then pull it down and see if it dispenses cubes. If the solenoid is down then you will want to see if the shaft moves up and down and check to make sure that the solenoid is not broken. Read More...
